Save your docs and stuff ... cloud style ...
Hello ...
I've this tendency to save my docs/PDFs online ...
I do this coz I wanna have access where ever I may be ...
You never know when you might need a copy of your ID card ...
Or a copy of your passport for that matter ... hehe ...
I used to save my stuff in Yahoo! Briefcase since 2000 ...
But some how ... I missed their (multiple) announcements ...
And around mid this year ... I lost all my stuff with them ...
That was a major bummer ... but luckily I had backups ...
I had copies of everything important ... that was a life saver ...
Since then ... I've been looking around for a new service ...
I settle on not one but two services ... you know just in case ...
One is Upload Robots ... a fairly new service on the market ...
They offer 4GB of storage free ... more if you go pro ...
I like their site ... really like the user interface ...
I also mirrored everything to my apple dot mac account ...
A paid service ... expensive ... but easy to use with my OS ...
They rebranded the service recently... its now known as dot me ...
Guess with my stuff on two separate services ...
The possibility of loosing it will be kept minimum ... hehe ...
What service(s) do you guys use to save/store your stuff ???
Lemme know ...
Laterx ...

simon ::

may be i did signup there long ago ... hehe ...
jaa ::
never heard of live mesh ...
will check it out ...
tried google docs ... it seems kinda kewl ... dunno why i never used that ...
zoho .. ??? gotta check that out ... website seems to offer every service you can think of ... hehe ...
I use iDisk on MobileMe.
I use Dropbox, Box.net (1GB free) and Google Docs (just increased storage to 1GB free). Dropbox and Box.net both have iPhone apps, actually, so does Google Docs, which makes it very easy to access at anytime.
Out of those three, I like Dropbox the
most because I don't have to upload anything. SugarSync, Mozy (2GB free) and Carbonite are also great options for remote backups. SugarSync, and recently Carbonite, have iPhone apps and remote access to your files. I've used all three in the past, and am definitely going to try SUfarSync and Carbonite again.
It blows my mind that more people aren't using these services. To be able to remotely access, sync and backup your files for free, or a small fee, is awesome!!
Great info...way to be ahead of the game...keep spreading the knowledge!!
