Got myself a MacBook Pro

As I discussed earlier here …
I was contemplating the purchase of a MacBook Pro …
I've been researching this online for a while now …
Keeping a close tab on new releases and user reviews …
The apple MacBook craze was/is in full force …
Especially in online communities …
I read forums on how easy it is use to a mac …
I watched switcher ads …
I read the heat and whine issues by critics …
After my friends succinctly described the pros and cons …
The cool factor of using a mac …  the ease of use …
Versus the limited software packages … incompatibility issues …
I weighed my options carefully …
What type of user I am …  ???
What I needed from my machine …  ???
The best option for me was MacBook Pro 1.83 GHz …
Having decided on the machine I want …
I needed to get the best price and availability …
First I checked around Male' … the two new apple shops …
Then I tried calling some serious computer hardware dealers …
The machine I wanted was not available in town …
If I ordered thru them … there was a 14-day waiting period …
And yes I was innately suspicious about that too …
So I checked out the option of ordering online …
As it turned out … ordering online was cheaper and faster …
With guaranteed delivery … including global apple care plan …
And so here I am now …
Writing this with my machine …
And I can't help but say …
Its one helluva sweet machine …
Guess I am switcher, eh ??? Well not completely …
I still use a PC at work …  hehehe …

Prison Broken ...

Hello ...
Escape is just the beginning …

Well …  I just saw the last 2 episodes of Prison Break …
Very tense … very taut …  very thrilling …
Especially the last episode with so many twists …
Well … they have finally gotten out of prison …
But apparently that's not all they have to do …
I was under the impression that …
This was a one season show …
Guess I was wrong …
Coz there are too many unanswered questions …
And loose ends …  frayed ends as well …
So I surfed to the official site of Fox …
It said … new season returns fall 2006 …
So I guess studios cant let us go …
Not with the kind of rating prison break was enjoying …
Not with the money the ads were bringing in …
So we gotta hang on for a coupla months …
And we will I guess …
Coz we need to know what happens …
When people break outta prison …
I read on wikipedia that …
In the second season …
The story will focus on the breakout team as fugitives …
And will continue to explore the conspiracy …
That put Lincoln in jail …
It also said …  the show may be renamed …
Prison Break: Manhunt …
This is gonna be good …  eh ?

Started watching another show again …
This time it's a British show …  hehe …
Its called "The IT crowd" … very kewl show …
Its basically about 3 people …
Two nerds …  Moss and Roy …
And their new boss …  Jen …
Who doesn't know anything about computers …
They make the IT department …
Of the Reynholm Industries …
They operate out of the basement …
Really funny guys …  funny situations …
Good for a laugh …  hehe …
You might have heard some of the jokes before …
But still very watchable …
If you need to relax a bit …
And have 20 mins …  watch this show …
The down side is …
Season one is only 6 episodes …
And no news of season 2 yet …

A tv series that I started to watch last night … 
Its about two brothers … Don and Charlie … 
Don works for FBI …  Charlie is a mathematician … 
Charlie helps Don solve cases using math … 
It's a not new show … its from last year I guess … 
Its on season 2 now … Its very interesting … 
Although I cannot relate to any of the complex equations … 
That Charlie uses …  I can relate to his explanations … 
An OK show I guess …  I can see some l0g1c in it …
I don't think any chicks will dig it though … 
May be … may be not …  hehe …

Naraka Fengandu …

Hello ...
Went to Laamu Atoll in the weekend …
Had to do some work there …
Good place … lotsa land … an airport …
Surrounded by a shallow lagoon …
That can be easily reclaimed … if the need be …
Saw lotsa potential in that place …
After my work was done … went sight seeing a bit …
The most interesting was … Naraka Fen'gandu …
That's hell pond for non-maldivians …
It was a pond in the middle of jungle …
It wasn't salt water …  it wasn't fresh water either …
Some kinda mix I guess …  dunno for sure …
When approached from the pathway …
It seemed like a mirror was laid flat on ground …
The water was so still …  not a single ripple on it …
That the reflection of trees surrounding it …
Had a very kewl effect off it …
Not much fish or life in it …
There was a big fallen tree near the pond …
It is said that this tree is more than 100 years old …
Both the pond and the tree made a very nice feature …
All in all …  it was a good trip …
