Water Meters ...

Water meters installed at a building by Malé Water & Sewerage Company. These things does not seem to last very long. Most of the meters I've seen are rusted out. But the good thing is, it just works. Rusted or not. I have never heard of anyone having to repair one of these meters, ever! Must be some quality stuff, eh? I wish we had more of this quality stuff in the island.

Girl waiting at the ATMs ...

A girl checking her phone while waiting patiently at the ATMs.
Beginning of each calendar month is usually a busy time at BML ATMs. I remember once I had to wait an in the line for a solid hour just to take out some cash! And I hate people who has has more than 10 cards (mostly of their family or friends). It seems lately, its always the guy just in front of me who will need to do multiple transactions on the ATM. Express ATMs? Need more ATMs?

Chillies ... Lots of Chillies ...

Chillies! Chillies for everyone!
Chillies sold by Kilo at the market. Red ones are supposed to be more hotter/spicier than the green ones most of the time, so the red ones are a bit more expensive. Does not make much difference to me because, unlike most Maldivians, I do not like chillies.

Alimas Ufaa Carnival Stage.
Maldives Artiste Directory event. The schedule was written on large blackboard near the entrance to the stage area. A saw a lot of youngsters hanging out near the stage in the afternoon, practicing their acts. Seems like a lot of stuff is going down at this event.
All the best to Maldivian Artistes.

Vegetables, vegetables.
This guys is at the first shop in Ameenee Magu Bazaar.
Some say he sells the most fresh vegetables the cheapest. I can not confirm that, but what I can confirm is that his shop is packed most afternoons, especially on weekends.
I hear lemons and onions are the best sellers here.

Trying to get the white balance correct.
So, everyone checks the back LCD to preview the image they just took, as soon as they take them. I try it too, as I am trying to learn to get exposure correct on manual setting.
Some DSLRs do live view as well, mine does not. It does not bother me much.
