The Barbecue …

hmm ...
few days back we had a barbecue in a friend's place ...
a MRF 3000/- grill was bought to facilitate this exercise ...
what a damn waste ...
started around 1730 hrs ...
i was to get the fish from the local fish market ...
so me and a guy went and bought a "giulhu" ...
it was like 2 feet in length ...
the sucker was still alive when it got scaled ...
wrrr ... give me the creeps ...
some Japs even took pix of it ...
fish scaled ... and gutted ...
headed back to the barbecue place ...
thus we waited for other stuff ...
beef tenderloins arrived ...
rubber charcoal arrived ...
garlic bread arrived ...
baguette arrived ...finally ...
the grilled was fired up ...
beef was defrosted and sliced ...
the fish went on top of the grill ...
it was nicely done ... good job ... real good ...
the first batch of beef was done ok ...
the 2nd batch was burned n blackened ...
i was partly to blame for that lil mishap ...
there should be a better way of knowing when beef is done ...
i guess the distance between the red hot charcoal and beef is of essence there ...
but we screwed it up ... the 2nd batch anyway ...
all in all ... it was a good barbecue ...
learned lotsa things for  next barbecue ...
in which we'll learn a lot more for the next barbecue ...
its a steep learning curve i guess ...
anyway ... barbecue was ok i guess ...
as good as it gets when it had to be eaten in a real smoky environment ...
hmmm ...
mistakes identified ...
lessons learned ...
improvement procedures discussed ...
i guess if there is a next time ...
it'd be better than what we had ... ehehe ...
hmm ...
unbeknownst to some of the barbecuers ...
i had damn lot of fun ...
ehehehe ....

PS :: I am certain there is too much certainty in this world!
